ABOUT THE FARM

Harry Brown has been farming and feeding people from this land since 1978. Over the years, long before any festivals or gatherings, Harry opened his land and home to countless numbers of folks in need of a place to stay. The Hill has truly been a place of refuge and healing.

Harry Brown's Farm is also known through out New England as a counter-culture gathering site. Since 1991, thousands have come to the land for concerts, political assembly in support of marijuana law reform and a unique Maine organic farm experience. 20 YEARS OF RESISTANCE.

Harry Brown's Farm also sells beautiful, rare and unusual vegetables, herbs and flowers. The market garden has been MOFGA certified organic since 2004. Our garden season starts with fresh dug Parsnips in April. Garlic is our largest crop. We have over 6,000 bulbs of Chesnok Red, Music Pink and Persian Fire garlic growing right now. Our nettle has won the coveted Judges Award at Common Ground Country Fair. We offer dried, screened and packaged nettle in ready-to-use 1 oz. packages. We also harvest fresh nettle for you to make your own medicines.
