Melvin Seals and the
Jerry Garcia Band
http://www.jgbband.com/

|
|
Melvin Seals has been a powerful presence in the music industry for over 30 years with a long-established reputation as a performer, recording artist and producer. Melvin is most revered for his powerful, high-spirited, Hammond B-3 organ, and keyboards in the Jerry Garcia Band. Melvin spun his B-3 magic with the Jerry Garcia Band for 18 years and in doing so helped pioneer and define what has now become "Jam Band Music". From blues to funk to rock to jazz, Melvin Seals serves up a tasty mix with a little R&B and gospel thrown in to spice things up.
Melvin and JGB brings an intuitive, expressive style, soul, spontaneity and remarkable chops to the table. With acoustic and electric ingredients and unique combinations of Stu Allen's guitar and amazing vocals, Jimmy Tebeau's savory bass, Pete Lavezzoli’s hearty drums and, of course, a heapin' helpin' of the wizard's magic on Hammond B-3 Organ and keyboards. Along with Shirley Starks and Cheryl Rucker on back-up vocals, the result is a most satisfying blend of natural organic grooves that challenges genre boundaries. Their chemistry is the focus from which they create a spontaneous and high art where the sky is the limit musically. They offer an exciting, often psychedelic musical journey that changes nightly and keeps the audience dancing and smiling (and some staring in amazement) for hours.
Adding his rock-gospel-soul-rhythm and blues touch with his funky style of playing, no wonder Jerry nicknamed him "Master of the Universe". Melvin continues to treat music lovers to his unique brand of melodic flavor with JGB. Come see and hear for yourself!
JGB Band is:
Melvin Seals - Hammond B3 and Leslies, Roland RD700 Keyboard, vocals
Stu Allen - Gibson SG electric guitar, lead vocals
Jimmy Tebeau - Bass
Pete Lavezzoli - Drums
Shirley Starks and Cheryl Rucker - backing vocals

Moshe
http://www.milledpavement.com/moshe.html
Prophet. A messenger of things to come. The one chosen to deliver the law. Historically, Moses was all of these things. History repeated itself at the turn of the mellennium, when we saw the emergence of a new messenger; the namesake of the one before him. Moshe, frankly honest and impossibly humble, has accepted the responsibility of leading his flock to the light. But, it now has become clear, at this stage of the journey, that we all have to pass through the darkness first.

Brzowski
http://www.milledpavement.com/brzowski.html
On the doorstep of his thirtieth year, BRZOWSKI is throwing down the gauntlet with all the desperation of a man on the edge of crisis. The Portland, ME by-way-of Providence,RI emcee kicked around the Massachusetts and Rhode Island music scenes in varying projects since 1993, before taking a permanent vacation to the northeast tundra, where long winters and unsuspecting audiences could better nurture his creative spirits...and personal demons. Joining forces with producer/technophile-at-large AGENT8 and a revolving cast of disc-jockeys in the studio and on stage, he has been steadily amassing a sizable groundswell of indie hip-hop true believers who clamor for something more artfully substantial than the mainstream stranglehold can spoon-feed them with his wry wit and brutally honest form self-destructive autobiography.

Vitamin J
Vitamin J grew up in the Illness of The Crystal Method, The Chemical Brothers, and The Prodigy... to name a few. He has had a love for the Electronic Scene from as early on as 1990 when he first heard the sounds of Technotronic. Vitamin J got his start back in 1997 when his mother bought him Magix Music Creator for the PC... Having always felt that music was in his blood, he began composing his own tracks using loops and samples...
It wasn't untill 2000 when he was given an old belt driven Technics Turntable... Soon after his best friend Vic purchased a gemini mixer at a local music store. Having only a turntable and a mixer they hooked up a five disc changer in to the other channel and threw on a trance cd. The only record they had at the time was an old (& warped) copy of Cassius - La' Mouche... A song he will never forget... In 2003 Vitamin J's son Kaleb was born. It was then that Vitamin J decided to step away from the scene and concentrate on being a father... It was 2008 when Vitamin J made it out to his first show in over 6 years... Tight Crew's Northern Exposure... Being back at a show made him realize how much he had missed it... It was then that Vitamin J knew this was where he belonged...

BLUE KWANSU -
JORDAN KAULBACH
Jordan Kaulbach grew up in Waterford Maine climbing mountains and fishing Bear pond. Music sort of runs through the family, everyone enjoys a good jam. One day he was playing guitar in a field when his friend Cosmo pointed out that a pack of deer were listening to him. Sure enough down the hill a little ways was a few deer grazing listening to him jam. He figured that if deer would listen to what he has to play then people probably would too. |
